The Democrats are caught in an escape proof trap. If they continue to pursue impeaching Trump they lose big. If they back off impeachment they lose big.
The Democrats have made so many mistakes to get to this untenable situation. If they let impeachment go to a Senate trial it will be their biggest blunder yet, and will inflict the fatal blow to any hope they have of ridding themselves of Donald Trump.
These impeachment hearings are 100% partisan. Hey dummies, there is an election in 11 months.
Three years ago I said I hope this country doesn’t get to the point we are at, but it is very possible the Democrats are going to be lured into the lion’s den. Once they walk in they will be given no quarter.
In a Senate trial the Republicans are going to be able to call witnesses and I know the first five people the Republicans will put on the stand: Pelosi, Schiff, Hunter Biden, the whistleblower, and Joe Biden. They deserve everything they get.
This weekend the hierarchy of the Democratic Party is making the biggest decision they have had to make in decades: Impeach or not impeach.
My prediction is the House will not even go to a vote on impeachment. It is going to be a tough pill to follow, but it is past time for the Democrats to cut their plethora of losses.
The biggest problem the Democrats will have after they announce there will not be a vote on impeachment is : “What’s next?”
How about find a candidate that can possibly beat Trump. One thing is for sure they don’t have one now.
This impeachment inquiry has turned into a farce and a circus. In the end it is Trump who will set the narrative. Payback is going to be a bitch.
Nancy Pelosi is a crafty politician, but she is in over her head with President Trump. She is starting to look like a rattled, nervous old hen.
The impeachment hearings this week in front of the Judicial Committee was much ado about nothing. It is obvious the whole thing is about rage and not substance.
The Democrats paraded a bunch of college professors to the impeachment hearings to lecture and educate us on constitutional law and the Articles of Impeachment. I respect educators, but they should stay in their ivory towers.
Once again more expert witnesses that saw nothing. It would be very comical if it wasn’t such a waste of time and money.
Pamela Karlan, a law professor at Stanford, was the most animated of the academics. This woman sounded like a very frustrated and angry person who was filled with hate, mostly for the President.
Noah Feldman was a real Trump hater who provided only opinions and not a single fact. He was your “run of the mill”, left wing elitist, “know it all” college professor. Is there another kind?
The American people will decide who the next President is, not Nadler or some obnoxious academics. It is clear that an impeachable offense has not taken place.
These lackey professors provided great credence to the saying “those who can’t do anything else, teach.” If that panel of educators had to go out and earn a living they would be broke.
These scholarly men and (that was a lady), should stay in their lofty high perches. Their boring pontification and righteous opinions put me to sleep.
I didn’t think anyone could come off worse than Adam Schiff as a committee chairman. Then came Jerrold Nadler.
Kamala Harris is taking her loud angry yelling act home to California. Ms. Harris will not be heard from again. Good riddance.
The Democratic field is getting older and whiter. Biden, Warren, and Sanders are the front runners. lol.
Joe Biden’s creepy meter is breaking new records everyday. In one riff he mentioned: his hairy legs turning blond in the sun, understanding roaches, little boys running their hands up his legs, and loving children on his lap.
Biden is calling his tour through Iowa the “No Malarky Tour.” For everyone under 50 malarky means bull shit.
If “Creepy” Joe stays in the race things are going to get even uglier. It’s hard to see this ending well for this busted down career politician.
Now his old buddy John Kerry has come out supporting “Sleepy, Creepy Joe.” Kerry and Biden are the exact same animal: two corrupt lifetime Washingtonian who abused power along the way to help their families get wealthy.
I still believe Michael Bloomberg is the Democrats best chance to beat Trump. Listening to his speech on gun violence to a group in Colorado reinforced to me that it is an extremely slim chance.
Bloomberg does not command a room like Trump does. Also if Bloomberg is the Democratic candidate Trump will get 35% of the African American vote.
“Don’t Mess With Me,” raged Speaker Pelosi when asked if her hate for Trump was interfering with her decision making process. Trump has rattled Washington D.C. to it’s core.
Pelosi has indicated there will be a vote on impeachment. I predict before if comes time to vote she and the Democrats will have a change of heart.
