The political divide in America has accelerated at a faster pace than I could have anticipated. The conversations I am hearing amongst normally rational people are disinergrating into shouting matches.
People on both sides are angry (left, right). When I am angry I look in the mirror and have a long talk with myself. Most of the time I am merely angry at myself.
The first American Civil War was fought between the North and the South. The divide was much simpler than the present one. The south wanted to separate themselves from the Union and the major reason why centered around slavery.
Today’s Civil War is a bit more complicated. In general terms here is the platform of the opposing sides:
1. Big government vs smaller gov’t
2. Donald Trump’s base vs. Trump haters.
3. People who think the system works and needs continual improvement vs. people who want to overhaul the system.
Now we are knocking down statues of George Washington and Teddy Roosevelt. Our history is flawed for sure, but should we erase it?
I have always contended we should never build statues or name buildings after politicians. Even the one way thinkers should be beginning to understand why.
Let me add to the list of divisive issues in the current Civil War; the Coronavirus situation. One side wants the rules and control to go on and on and on, the other side is ready to go full throttle.
For me the broadest issue in this war that has begun is the old deep state way of governing this country, or having more confidence in an educated electorate. I understand that is a tough choice.
Another big issue in this war is racism. One side believes that racism is systemic in America, the other agrees that there will always be elements of racism but as a whole there continues to be improvements towards the racial divide.
Hopefully this war will be fought the hardest at the polls this November. We should expect the losers will except the results with humility and grace.
This did not happen in 2016. The left’s response to Trump’s victory was the early stages of this war that is raging on. The media at this time will go down in history as the most culpable in igniting the fuse.
I haven’t seen much of Joe Biden, yet I have seen enough. To me he is the invisible man as a presidential candidate. Hard to believe isn’t it?
Joe Biden is just a name that represents the left’s hatred for Trump. There isn’t even a dumb person who doesn’t agree Joe Biden is not capable of finding his way out of a paper bag.
The election for president in November is Donald Trump running against himself. Biden can’t defeat Trump only Trump can defeat Trump.
I am not sure how CNN counts Trumps lies, I think they are at something like 20,000. Are they counting Biden’s gaffes and misstatements? In case they haven’t I have, and my count is at 444,000.
Bill Parcells had a great line that ties directly to Joe Biden “You are what your record says you are.” Biden has been in politics 44 years and his record sucks. But the dems say he will turn it all around if you give him one more chance. lol.
Before Biden entered the early stages of senility he was not the sharpest tool in the shed. In his day 50 years ago he was a moderate democrat.
Joe Biden and Bill Clinton are the men that gave us the 1994 crime bill that incarcerated thousands of black people for drug use. Trump has worked hard to erase this injustice, yet he is the racist. lol.
Is there any question that Biden continues to get a free pass from the mainstream media. It must be hard for Dom Lemon and Jake Tapper to call this senile old fool their champion.
Steve Bannon called the upcoming Presidential election “Biden vs. Chaos.” I have traditionally embraced chaos.
Trump was in rare form at his latest rally in Tulsa Oklahoma. He is the greatest “showman” of our age. Can you name someone even close?
I wasn’t sure because it is so warped, but Trump has a great sense of humor. Since I believe there is a connection between humor and intelligence is it actually possible Trump is very intelligent?
In Tulsa when Trump was doing a parody in regard to his attendance at the West Point graduation I was “hurt my belly” laughing. No question he is long winded, but still hysterical.
A friend of mine, who like most of my friends hate Trump said “just wait till it is safe again and then Biden will have some big rallies.” Yes, they are serious.
In Tulsa Trump’s funniest and best line was when he told the crowd: “You people have no idea how lucky you are to have me as your President. “No idea?” I think I have a very good idea.
The Democrats are dumb enough that they think they can extend this pandemic past election day. Once the spot light comes back on this poor guy Biden he’s going to melt faster than Dorothy throwing a bucket of water on the wicked witch.
John Bolton is quite a guy.” I won’t testify but I will write a tell all book.” What’s that expression you trump haters overuse? “a real piece of shit.”
I will keep writing this riddle until someone figures it out. “If Biden is elected president of the United States in November, who will the President of the United States be?
Here it is nice and simple: In business when your employess are not rowing in the same direction as the agenda of your business you fire them. School teachers and gov’t workers should be forced to live in the real world for at least a year. It is the only way they will ever understand there is more to life than snowdays.
I figured out I have paid well over two million dollars of taxes in my life. I wrote a letter to Obama, Bush and Clinton seeking reparations due to his blatant mishandling of my hard earned dollars.
